Many years ago (1956-1958) I was alone on a desearted country road in NE PA on a Sunday morning bout 10.00 AM. I became aware of four or fefe very large white birds flying low down a cleared slope leading to the valley I was in. I soon saw that they were not birds, but large disks, maybe six feet in diameter. As they apploached trees or brush, they gained altitude then dropped again. Most striking was that when thiy appeared edge-first, they disappeared, then as they tilted, they reappeared. In other words, they appeared to be two-dimensional! They were heading in my direction, so I high-tailed it out of there. I have never seen another report that duplictes this experiwnce.[Unedited]
